Dr. Christopher McFarland, D.M.D.
Dr. McFarland is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and completed dental school at the University of Pittsburgh. Following graduation he moved to Augusta and the Medical College of Georgia where he completed a two and one-half years residency in periodontics (gum disease) and prosthodontics (implants, crowns, bridges, and dentures). He has served on the faculty of both the Medical College of Georgia and Emory University School of Dentistry.

He recently completed a term on the State Dental Board, serving as a dental examiner and has been lecturing in the United States and Europe on Dental Implants and Restorative Dental techniques.

Dr. McFarland has been married for thirty years to his wife Marie, who is also a dentist. They have twins, Ian and Leslie and live in Duluth. He enjoys running, golf and traveling when not in the office.

Dr. Mark Gobbel, D.M.D.
Dr. Gobbel has lived in Georgia all his life. Born in Bainbridge, he grew up in Southwest Atlanta and East Point. He attended Georgia Tech and then attended dental school in Augusta. Following graduation, he returned home and has been in private practice in the Decatur area for over twenty years.

Dr. Goebbel and Dr. McFarland have practiced together for more than 12 years which has allowed him to focus his practice on his areas of special interest, cosmetic and preventative dentistry.

Dr. Gobbel and his wife Kacie have three sons and all enjoy tennis, music and traveling.
